“Aakhirah” a word that is used to remind a Muslim of life after death and to encourage him to take responsibility of his actions in this world. For a non-believer, death is an end while for a believer it is just a beginning.

We do believe that this worldly life is a trial preparation for the Hereafter which will remain forever. The judgment day will occur as a transient day when the human life of this world would end, and all of mankind will move to their respective abodes decided by Allah’s will and judgement. But what will happen on the day of Judgement?

“Say: ‘Short is the enjoyment of this world. The Hereafter is [far] better for him who fears Allah, and you shall not be dealt with unjustly in the very least.'” [Surah An-Nisa (4), Ayah 77.]

Life after death is divided into three major phases:
– Life in the grave,
– Gathering in front of the creator for accountability
– The final abode either in hellfire or in the heaven

Azaan Institute presents “The Great Gathering” by Ustadh Mugheerah Luqman, a course which will highlight the major events of the second phase of life after death i.e., Gathering in front of Allah SWT for accountability. The course will cover major events that relate to a man’s journey from the blow of the trumpet to the arrival at his final abode i.e., hellfire or the heaven.

The occurrence of Resurrection Day is inevitable, and no one should have any doubt in it, which means we will have to answer to Allah for the way we have chosen to live; therefore it is very important to know about the major events that will take place before we reach our final destination.

-Ustadh Mugheerah Luqman is the head of Tarbiyah Department at Riphah International University Lahore, an instructor at Azan Institute Pakistan and Regional Director of Youth Club Lahore.

He is an ACCA associate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK.

Along with his secular studies, he has completed his MPhil degree in Islamic Studies.

Ustadh Mugheerah is a motivational speaker with a keen interest in Islamic Sciences who has appeared in different national and International televisions here in Pakistan and abroad. He has been delivering khutbahs in different Mosques of UAE and Pakistan
